things left behind
By borrowing the philosophy of the past called Vanitas, the sense of emptiness or a worthless as a medium in the form of digital posters and commentary, It’s a visualization of the emotions of longing and transience. We accumulate a lot of things in our homes and our hearts, and sometimes we can’t let go of things that we should. This is because of the memories that are tied to those things. This piece is about the theme of nostalgia and ephemerality and a glorious final goodbye. I collected objects that people missed and photographed them using a Dutch still lifestyle called vanitas, which symbolizes ‘fleetingness” The book includes a compilation of ‘Ode’ letters to the owner of each object. Selected objects have lost their original functions but remain in their past glory. Records the end and then discards them. The audience can experience the value of things that change according to the presence or absence of regrets.
